Domestic Mastering (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our website and services.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

• Contact Information: Name, email address, and phone number provided when placing an order.
• Order Data: Service type, track names, notes, and payment details.
• Audio Files: Files you upload for mastering purposes.
• Usage Data: Basic analytics such as page views and pseudonymous booking progress. Our site-visit counter stores only a random UUID and the server timestamp at which the visit window began. It does not store an IP address, user-agent or other browser details, the page path, or any customer or form fields. Booking analytics record the checkout step, selected engineer, selected service, format, track count, country code, and timestamps. They also use keyed hashes derived from an essential browser token and network address to prevent abuse, and may link the progress record to its internal checkout session to measure payment completion. The progress record itself does not store names, contact details, tax IDs, notes, song titles, album titles, or uploaded file details.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. Audio files are stored only for the duration needed to complete your order and a reasonable retention period afterward. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.

We may use third-party services for:

• Email delivery (order confirmations and notifications).
• File storage and hosting.
• Website analytics.

These services have their own privacy policies and we encourage you to review them. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

6. Cookies

Our website uses essential cookies required for authentication and basic functionality. An essential, opaque checkout cookie also prevents unauthorized access to an in-progress booking and binds its pseudonymous progress record to the same browser. To restore an unfinished form within the same browser tab, session-only storage may contain the checkout details you entered, including contact and tax details, service choices, song or album titles, notes, and secure upload reference URLs; it does not contain the audio file bytes. A separate local-storage record contains only a random site-visit UUID and timestamps so repeat page loads within 30 minutes count as the same visit. Separate cross-tab coordination records contain only random identifiers, timestamps, and analytics revision numbers. Those records are capped at 32 booking entries, entries older than 30 days are pruned, and the temporary identity seed is removed after checkout initialization. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request access to your personal data.
• Request correction or deletion of your personal data.
• Withdraw consent for data processing at any time.
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law. Audio files are typically deleted within 90 days of order completion. Pseudonymous booking-progress records and their internal checkout linkage are deleted 180 days after the last booking activity. Their keyed browser and network hashes are removed after 30 days. Random site-visit UUIDs and their start timestamps are deleted after 180 days.
